My Background as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst

Financial issues inherent to every divorce are very complex. Once a divorce settlement has been signed, it can become too late to change it. Issues that I deal with include who should keep the marital home? How much will it cost to live post divorce? How much alimony should there be, and for how long? Will the child custody arrangement affect monetary support? How can the retirement accounts be divided and accessed if necessary? What do you do when a family owned business has been a primary source of income? What is the value of health care benefits? What are the potential income tax consequences of certain transactions?

Most important of all, will you be able to financially survive (and thrive) with the terms of a settlement post divorce? As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, I have specific training and knowledge to answer these questions, and can provide mediation and/or litigation support for my client’s attorneys, which helps them prove and favorably settle these matters.

My Background as a Certified Public Accountant

For 25 years, I have been a licensed CPA in the State of Florida. My past experience includes 10 years with an international CPA firm. My client engagements included audit and tax services for a wide variety of businesses and individuals. I also performed numerous forensic auditing services to help locate missing assets and valuable data.

Subsequent to my time in public accounting, I spent 14 years in a corporate environment. I have held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance for a company that had $500 million in annual revenue. I have extensive experience preparing budgets, developing financial plans, negotiating favorable financing arrangements with banks and other lenders, evaluating financial data for fairness and accuracy, performing due-diligence procedures, and engaging in virtually every type of financial transaction. I possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of the impact of financial transactions, both short and long term.

For the past two years, I have devoted myself full-time to dealing exclusively on divorce matters.
